This paper does not claim to be an original research paper because most of the text in this paper is based on previous research work done by various research teams in which the author has also contributed. All the respective works are credited to the original authors and appropriate citations have been given as far as possible for due acknowledgement. This paper begins by highlighting the broader issues related to Climate Change and Human Settlements and then defines the scope of Resilience and Climate Adaptation for cities. Possible mitigation and adaptation actions listed by various reports are presented next, followed by two studies from Madhya Pradesh.
